 I LOVE being a teacher and look forward to a great year ahead! I truly enjoy working with young students. They make incredible progress during the school year and have such wonderful enthusiasm!

 I am so excited be in kindergarten because I love working with children who are just developing a lifelong love of learning. Coming to school and seeing those darling smiles is one of the best perks of being a teacher.

I am so excited to start this journey of learning and growing alongside my kindergarteners!

 I have an educational background in early childhood education and love singing silly songs with my students.

 I love witnessing their growth and observing how their personalities bloom.

I love working with Kindergarten!

 I am so excited to be returning to work with our cute kinder kids!

 I teach 1st grade part time in a job-share with Mrs. Sorenson.

My true joy is nurturing young minds, helping them become skilled readers and writers.

 I am a lifelong learner and began my teaching career following retirement from the grocery industry after 37 years.

I taught high school German for 3 years before coming to Summit Academy. This is my 10th year here at Summit Academy.

 I love teaching reading and math and having fun while we learn.

Summit Academy is my home.

The light my students bring into the classroom is so inspiring.  I hope to guide each student on a path that will lead to life-long learning.

This will be my second year at Summit Academy. I love it here and especially love teaching 2nd grade!

 I am truly grateful for the opportunity to spend my time supporting my teachers and helping our adorable second graders with anything they need.

 I have been teaching at Summit Academy for 7 years, first as the math specialist and now as a 3rd grade teacher!

This will be my 8th year teaching and I am lucky to spend it with you all.

I'm beyond excited to be working at Summit Academy! Teaching has always been my passion.  I'm constantly striving to inspire students to love all subjects, but most importantly love themselves.  

I have been with summit for almost 3 years helping with the German DLI program.

 I love to inspire children, teach them new things and get them excited about learning.

 This is my second year teaching and I know it's going to be a GREAT one!

 I love learning myself and am currently working on getting my Technology and English Language Learners endorsements.

This is my second year teaching DLI German at Summit but I have been a teacher for almost 20 years.

I think Summit Academy is wonderful and I have truly enjoyed working here! 

 I also love to read and usually read around 100 books each year.

Teaching is my passion!

 My children have all attended Summit Independence and participate in the German program here. This is my 5th year teaching, 3rd at Summit.

 I have taught for 27 years, in 1st, 3rd, 5th and 6th grades and completed my Educational Leadership degree and internship.

I look forward to getting to know the students and watching them learn and grow!

 I hope to spark their love for reading as we work on building skills to help them find continued success within the classroom.

My desire to help young people succeed in life, led me to Summit Academy Independence where I am in my second year working as a reading interventionist and teaching Academic Literacy.

 I love teaching art and completed my bachelor’s degree in Art Education at Utah State University.

That lightbulb moment when a student makes a connection is my favorite thing!

I was an Assistant Strength Coach with the Washington Redskins, the Baltimore Ravens, the USA Bobsled Team.

 Introducing children to the written word is my passion.  I want your child to grow to love reading as much as I do, which is a lot!
