My desire to help young people succeed in life, led me to Summit Academy Independence where I am in my second year working as a reading interventionist and teaching Academic Literacy. Before coming to Summit, I individually tutored young people in various subjects for more than twelve years.

My husband and I have lived in Utah all our lives. We have nine remarkable children, who all graduated university in various fields. I graduated (a lifelong goal) from BYU-I in 2020. I love reading, writing, art, the great outdoors, and any activity I can do with my husband, our children, their exceptional spouses, and our 27 delightful grandchildren.
