My name is Dion Drummond, and I am grateful to teach at Summit Academy!!  I was born and raised in Price Utah.  I attended the College of Eastern Utah and played basketball there.  After my time in Price I moved on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from Southern Utah University, I am certified to teach Secondary PE and psychology, which I had the opportunity to teach at Alta High school, and now I am certified to also teach Elementary.  This will be my sixth year at Summit in 6th grade.

I have a true passion for working with middle school and high school kids!!  Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, and emotional can be challenging but rewarding because watching the kids succeed is the absolute best.  I strive to create an environment that is positive, respectful, and trusting.

Personally, I am married to my husband Todd and we have six fantastic children and two grandchildren.  All of my children have attended Summit Academy and they have such cherished and great memories of fabulous teachers and friends.   We love to travel and visit our kids as much as we can. I also enjoy the outdoors, music, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with my family
