Hello! My name is Shelby Vinson, and I'm thrilled to be part of the Summit Academy community. I earned my bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Biology from Hannibal-LaGrange University, where I also had the opportunity to play basketball. I hold teaching licenses in 9-12 Biology (Biology 2) and 5-9 General Science (Science Core).

I bring valuable classroom experience from teaching 8th grade science (2022-2024) and high school Biology (2024-2026) in Hannibal, Missouri. This year, I'm excited to teach Honors Biology, General Biology, and Zoology, where I look forward to fostering curiosity and a love of science in every student.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, Aspen, reading, and visiting family. I'm eager to get to know each of my students and help them discover the wonders of the biological world!
