Dr. Jeff Wyant grew up in North Carolina in a family of education professionals.  He attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte on a Cross-Country scholarship and earned a B.A. in History and Psychology.   

In 1997, Dr. Wyant followed his dream to live in western ski town and moved to Park City where he served as a teacher and coach for 17 years. He has also served as a teacher and administrator in a highly rated charter school and administrator in several large public high schools. He has worked with students at all levels from Pre-K through the University level.

His formal education continued later in life with a Master’s in History from Arizona State University, a Masters in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands.  

Dr. Wyant brings 21 years of classroom teaching experience, and 7 years of administrative experience to Summit Academy.  He is a strong believer in educational excellence and dedicated to helping both students and teachers achieve their life goals. He is excited to lead the dedicated team of teachers and staff that have created a fantastic learning environment and traditions of excellence that he feels makes the school a unique place for students to succeed.  

When school is not in session, Dr. Wyant enjoys skiing, hiking, and travelling.   He can regularly be found on the slopes and trails of Utah with his 9-year-old daughter.
