Welcome back to the 2024-25 school year!  This is my first year teaching second grade, and I am so excited for this opportunity! I love teaching because I get to be around the most enthusiastic and inquisitive people on earth – the kids!  I have been teaching first grade at Summit Academy since 2018.  During the 8 years before first grade, I taught kindergarten at a private school in Northern Virginia, just 10 miles outside D.C.   

My husband and I currently live in Sandy.  We are a blended family and have eight children.  Holidays and birthdays are crazy because we also have 12 adorable grandchildren.  My husband has taught me how to love camping, and we fixed up our trailer this summer to do just that – camp!  I ensure that we reserve a campsite where we can paddleboard!  I enjoy being on the water.  I also plan to live vicariously through my “French Bistro” classroom this year, as I dream of vacationing in France one day.
