I am a mother of 3 amazing young men (18, 16, and 12) and I am celebrating my 22nd Anniversary with my sweetheart. I love spending time with my family and friends. When I am not at school, you will likely find me at sports venues, reading science journals, or investigating the latest technology.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah and completed many master classes from Brigham Young University, Southern Utah University, and Utah State University.

My studies have allowed for experience in many fields of science and research. Before becoming an educator, I collaborated closely with engineers from a variety of medical device companies and together developed microbial testing protocols. As a scientist (Microbiologist) for 11 years, my favorite part was educating engineers, sponsors, and analysts on the scientific principles involved in the study protocols.

My love of science and teaching brought me to my children’s school, Summit Academy, ten years ago. I am excited to be entering my 10th year of teaching and truly love seeing all my students grow.
