Hi!  I’m Julie Fox.  Your Theatre and Film Teacher.  I have been teaching at Summit Academy for 8 years and I love the excitement and energy from all of my students.  I graduated from BYU with a theatre and advertising degree many years ago, but did not return to teaching until I came to Summit.  This is my passion and I am so happy to have found this opportunity!  Besides teaching, I also coach the Shakespeare team in the Fall, competition teams in the Spring and direct our musical and play throughout the year.

I have a very supportive husband and I am a mother of 5 kids ranging in age from 15-26.  We love to travel or go camping whenever we can.  We also love to watch reality television and go to the movies where popcorn is a must.   I love to act and direct and have enjoyed recently being a part of the Bluffdale Arts Advisory board where I have had the opportunity to share ideas with others who love the arts and theatre.  I have directed many shows for Bluffdale City, but my favorites are the Summer plays in the park.

I really enjoy creating a love for the art of theatre and film in junior high and high school students.  It is so fun to see my previous students continue on with acting or stage crew or making their own films.
