Mr. Pyle graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, got technical certifications in Graphic Design and Web Development from Ogden-Weber Technical College, and just recently graduated with a Master’s Degree in Visual Communication Design from Liberty University. 

Mr Pyle teachers a variety of classes here at Summit Academy High School including: Digital Art and Illustration, Intro to Graphic Design, Digital Audio, Video, and Animation, Web Development, Yearbook, and Basecamp – an upper level course for students who have met a myriad of pre-requisites in the Broadcast and Digital Media Pathways.  Mr Pyle is also the Esports coach and has teams that compete in a variety of video game titles including: Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Rocket League, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Fortnite, Overwatch 2, and Valorant.

Outside of being a teacher and coach, Mr Pyle is a husband and father of three girls.  He enjoys all things nerdy including movies, comics, video games, and is a massive Green Bay Packers Fan (Go Pack Go!)

Mr Pyle’s favorite aspect of teaching is seeing students find and cultivate their passions and  become immersed in the creation of digital media and content that extends beyond the projects and assignments that students do for class.  Being able to celebrate his student’s successes after high school is the Best thing ever!
