Principal Message

Dear Summit Academy Parents,

I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow and Thursday for our Parent Teacher Conferences.  I know that the students are excited for you to see the growth that they have made during this last quarter.  Our SPO parents have been organizing a dinner for teachers on Wednesday night and snacks for Thursday.  We still need one pan of enchiladas, some fresh fruit and granola.  If you are able to help please click on this link https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0548A8AC2AA5F58-47797407-parent.

Our Book Fair will also be open during PTC hours, and we are looking for a few more volunteers.  Please consider signing up for an hour before or after your children’s PTC. Sign up here https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050A49ACAD2DA7FE3-47641138-spring. Parents will be given $5 of credit for each hour that they volunteer.

We’ll be celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 5th by dressing as our favorite book characters.  I really enjoy this week, as I take some time to visit classes and read them my favorite Dr. Seuss stories.  Teaching is absolutely my favorite thing to do and gathering the students close and reading to them simply fills my heart.  Thanks for sharing your children with me!

Math Night is right around the corner on March 13th from 5:30-7:00 p.m.  This is a fun filled night where families can engage in learning fun ways to practice math concepts.  Have you ever wanted to expand your abilities to help support your student in their math learning?  Math Night is the answer!  We are partnering with Mathnasium for this fun filled night.  We’ll be ringing in Pi Day (3.14) by snacking on pie and we’ll also have a drawing for a door prize.  If you would like to volunteer for Math Night, please click on this link.  (You don’t have to be a math genius to run a math game that night, Mathnasium will have easy to follow instructions 😊.)
