Principal Message

Dear Summit Academy Parents,

I want to offer a warm welcome to all the new families joining our Summit Academy Bluffdale community!  We are so excited to get to know you and your children.  I am confident you will find that Summit Academy offers an excellent education for all students as well as a close-knit community.  We have many opportunities for parents to volunteer both in the classroom and during school-wide events.  I look forward to meeting all of you this upcoming fall.

Now that you are a part of the Summit family, you can expect to receive this Bison Update each Tuesday beginning in August.  It will contain all our volunteer opportunities as well as general information that parents will need. Our first community-wide activity will be our Annual Fall Fiesta, which will be held on September 20th from 5:30-7:30.  We are currently looking for several people to help with the planning.  It is helpful to start the preparations during the summer months so consider signing up now using this link: Fall Fiesta Committee Sign-up

Please save Monday, August 19 for our Back-to-School Night.  You will be able to meet with teachers and drop off supplies that evening.  The suggested supply list for the upcoming school year can currently be found on our website.  You can find who your child’s teacher will be that morning by logging onto your parent account in Aspire.

Please remember to include some fun family reading time in your plans so that your student returns ready for a positive start to the year.  I hope that everyone is enjoying their summer break and is able to spend time with family and friends!

Happy Summering everyone!

Diana Brantley

A Message from our Assistant Principal

I want to give a warm welcome to new families and our returning families as well. I wanted to let you know about some employment opportunities we have this coming school year. We have several positions for paraprofessionals in different grade levels. These are typically part-time positions (16-24 hours) and are often a great fit for our parents. These positions really help support our teachers by giving the students the individual attention that is so important to what we do. Duties would include lunch/recess help, teaching small groups, and help assisting the teachers. The starting pay is $15.45/hr. If you are interested, please email

We ask that you please add, and to your email safe senders list so you don’t miss out on our weekly updates, teacher communication, attendance, and emergency notifications. If you missed or can’t find our email, our weekly updates are always available on our website!

We are excited to see you all in a couple of months!

Rebecca Howland
