Kathy Bracken

In August 2007 I came to work at Summit Academy as the head secretary at the Elementary office.  I moved to Human Resources in 2014 and have been head of the department since 2017.  I am fortunate to work with some amazing people.  Prior to working at Summit Academy, I worked for 19 years in the Title I program at Granite School District.

I am a Canadian by birth; moved to Utah in 1976 and became a naturalized US citizen in 1996.  My love of travel was instilled early in life as a result of being raised in a military family.  Growing up we lived in England, France, and various provinces in Canada.  After high school I moved to Nairobi, Kenya for two years with my family where I attended a British secretarial college and taught typing.

I love spending time with my family and friends.  I have two sons and two grandsons.  I enjoy reading, movies, puzzles, and have developed a love of foreign language TV shows and movies!  I still love to travel and hope to be able to do more in the future.
