Giving Back from Summit Academy
Tis the season to give and giving is what it is all about. KSL – Quarters for Christmas donated funds to help provide Jackets to students in need to Summit Academy.
Summit Academy and Summit Academy High School were able to provide for thirteen students.
The student council hosted a program called – Penny Wars: This year, all proceeds will be given to families right here at Summit Academy. The Draper campus was able to raise $1750 this year. Six families (seven students) will benefit from this. The Bluffdale campus was able to raise $2845 and will be distributed to three families. This is the largest donation in the Bluffdale history. We are so grateful to our families and community for stepping in to help those in need.
The Independence campus has a giving tree called Brighten the World. Gift tags are placed on the tree in the lobby and families are welcome to take a tag and gift that item to the school to be distributed other families in need. Eleven families have been chosen this year.
Directory Michael Clark says – “During such an unprecedented time, Summit Academy is happy to be able to help our communities in Salt Lake and Utah County. Especially during the holiday season, families of all varieties can feel increased stress and pressure of financial burdens. It is our pleasure to be able to take a little bit of worry away from those in need, and with the hope to ease some of that burden. We are thankful for all those that donated and helped to make these programs successful”
